This show is so bad ots good, and as one who was there
we thought this whole tour was off. This show is actually one where they hept it together. Summer tour was better. I think thius show is messed up and kind of sad but its fascinating. and din't someone also throw a bottle at them??? Anyways its ok and this building has had so many killer shows. This one is unique. Buyt how can anyone in 2017 diss a show with Jerry doing Comes a Time. I guess u had to be there. 4/27/84 is much better. the 1 star is for the messed up show/tour. The recording is like 3.5. Thanks Charlie and J and C and S its so fun to hear this even if it isn't exactly perfect. We were teens then. The "Jam" represents how we felt as teenagers about to graduate from high school-Not Good at all.. This was possibly my 28th show or so.

Being There, and being here...
Thanx a million for posting this, especially at the right speed! I went to this show, my third, with college buddies from Mass., and it was a fun time at first, lotsa fun dancing in the hallway to 1/2 step (we got in to the civic center a li'l late..) and there were some cool songs in the first set, but at the time I was in a doubting thomas frame of mind-"why am i here? why do I want to like this?" Having eating some vegetables earlier that evening that had no effect also seemed to put me in a less than estatic mood...second set was at the time weird, and gloomy, some long meandering jams(I thought at the time) Billy getting hit by a bottle( I saw him come back on stage and give the finger to whomever was behind him) then, after JB Goode, weir came on stage and said,'we got some problems backstage" and they didn't do an encore, Phil was yelling at bobby backstage, and the crowd booed! What a downer-until 24 years latter, I listen and hear long exploratory jams at end of Stranger-cool to hear Jer using a wah instead of envelope filter! and the post GDTRFB seems like Jer was in a jam mood(instead of leave the stage mood!) and the drums and space are great-wish i had known more about the songs, scene, and life of being a deadhead then, like I do now! but we are where we are-right now! Thanx Charlie Miller, and all at archive.org!
